Kevin Lowe RTC, Fire Chaplain (BCAFC)

 Welcome to the page,

Kevin Lowe is a dedicated husband, proud father of two incredible boys, and owner of a loveable golden retriever named Blue. He lives in Lake Cowichan, British Columbia, where his roots run deep and where his family continues to build a meaningful life. The Cowichan Valley is home in every sense. On weekends, you’ll often find Kevin at Oasis City Church in Duncan, or out exploring the island with his kids. When things slow down, he enjoys studying, writing, and continuing to grow in both his personal and professional life.

Kevin is a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC #3151) with the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada. He completed his diploma in therapeutic counselling through Orca Private Training Institute in New Westminster, BC. His work focuses on anxiety, trauma, and helping people understand the patterns that keep them feeling stuck.

Alongside his counselling work, Kevin serves as a Fire Department Chaplain with the Lake Cowichan Fire Department through the British Columbia Association of Fire Chaplains, supporting first responders through critical incidents, stress, and grief. He also has training in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) and several years of experience working with high-risk youth in collaboration with the Ministry of Children and Family Development.

Kevin continues to build on his training through a Bachelor of Arts in Theology and holds certifications as a Trauma Support Specialist (CTSS) and a Multichannel Eye Movement Integration Practitioner (CMEMIP-1). He also integrates elements of Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) for couples, all within a trauma-informed lens.

His approach to counselling is grounded, practical, and tailored to each person he works with. While his work is shaped by his Christian faith, his space is open to anyone seeking support. The focus is on creating a place where you can be honest, think clearly, and start moving forward.

If you’re looking for clarity, support, or a better way to navigate what you’re facing, Kevin is here to walk with you through that process.

If this feels like a fit, you’re invited to book a complimentary 15-minute consultation through the contact page.
